What if I miss registration?
We’ll attempt to find an open spot for your child. There are no guarentees once the deadline has passed. There will be a $20 late fee added to your registration.
Is attendance at the Player Evaluation mandatory?
Although not mandatory, attendance by all players in grades 3 through 6 is highly recommended if you wish to see your child’s participation in the In House program to be enjoyable and rewarding. Missing the evaluations can prevent coaches from making proper skill assessments of players and that can affect the quality of our teams. Attendance is mandatory for all traveling players.
If you cannot attend the Player Evaluation, we do REQUIRE advance notice as our sessions are planned based on all pre-registered players attending.
Can you tell me when the team will have practice?
Unfortunately, practice schedules are not completed until coaches are selected. Community Education facilitates our gym schedules and will present open times prior to the season.

Can my son or daughter play on a team with a neighbor or friend?
In the K-2 program, we make every effort to meet these requests. Please notate on your registration form your request to be put on the same team as another player. However, at the older levels, teams are formed based on evaluations.
What kind of games are played?
K-2 Program: The focus of the K-2 program is to develop fundamentals, build basketball experience, and have fun. Kindergarten teams will not play games. 1st grade teams will not play games but will do skills contests against other teams halfway through the season. 2nd grade teams will not play games but will do skills contest in the beginning of the year and do half court scrimmages the second half of the season.
3rd through 12th Grade: These grade levels will play regular games but with varying quarter times.
Are there any end of the year activities?
K-2 Program has an end of the year jamboree with skills contests at each grade level. Top finishers are awarded.
3rd through 12th grade teams will wrap up the season with an end of the year tournament scheduled on the weekend following the last regular season games. Top finishers are awarded.
How are teams chosen?
K-2 program: players are placed on teams randomly
3rd through 12th Grade: Evaluations are done at the beginning of each year. This ensures we can evenly distribute players across all teams.

Player Evaluation/Team Formation
|
A mandatory 2 day evaluation process is designed to determine the skills of each player so they can be placed at the most appropriate level for their grade. Evaluations are open to any player in 4th grade through 8th grade; however, there is no guarantee that each player participating in the evaluation process will make a travel team. Results of team formation will be posted on the website as soon as possible after evaluations are completed by player first name and tryout number. Teams might be posted with or without the coach identified.
