ARAA Refund Policy
All requests for refunds must be made in writing and directed to that particular sport’s Commissioner. All refunds will be assessed a $15.00 processing fee. Please check with the individual sports commissioner to determine the refund policy for that sport.  No refunds will be given once the season has started.  Refunds for injuries occurring after the season starts may be allowed.   In order to be entitled to partial refund for injuries, the injuries must be reported to the Sports Commissioner in writing, indicating the extent of your child’s injury, and that your child will not be able to participate in that sport for the remainder of the season. Contacting your child’s coach will not be accepted as suitable notification.

ARAA Late Registration Policy
A non-refundable $20 late fee will be assessed to all registrations that are processed after the published registration sessions have expired. A credit card will be required to complete the registration process.

Parent/Guardian Agreement
I, the parent/guardian of the registrant, a minor, agree and understand that once this registration form is submitted to Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association/Northern Lights Soccer, that: (1) I grant Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association/Northern Lights Soccer the right to use and publish pictures containing the registrant, (2) I agree to not sue Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association/Northern Lights Soccer or any Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association/Northern Lights Soccer board members, (3) I have read and understand the Player and Adult Protection Guidelines, (4) I agree to abide by the rules of the Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association/Northern Lights Soccer, and (5) I agree that the registrant is to play for Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association/Northern Lights Soccer and no other club for the registered season. Recognizing the possibility of physical injury associated with the game and, in consideration for Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association/Northern Lights Soccer accepting the registrant for its athletic programs and activities, I hereby release, discharge, and/or otherwise indemnify Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association/Northern Lights Soccer and the Cities of Anoka and Ramsey, their affiliated organizations and sponsors, their employees, directors, members, agents and associated personnel, including the owners of the fields and facilities used by Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association/Northern Lights Soccer, against any and all claims by, or on behalf of, the registrant as a result of the registrant’s participation in Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association/Northern Lights Soccer programs and/or being transported to and from the same, which transportation I hereby authorize, including any and all claims for injuries, damages or other losses.

Parent/Player Pledge
I pledge to get my child to practices, scrimmages and games on time. I understand that it may be embarrassing for my child to be late, it is hard for the Coach to adjust to the additional player and it may not provide adequate warm up time which could result in injury to my child. I will be on time to pick up my child from all practices, scrimmages and games. This shows my child that they are the highest priority and it shows respect for the Coach.
  1. I pledge to always use positive encouragement when talking about my child’s abilities. I understand that less than 1% of youth sports participants receive college scholarships and that the top three reasons kids join sports are to: a) have fun, b) make new friends and c) to learn new skills. I understand that the game is for the players and I will keep that in proper perspective.
  2. I pledge to refrain from making negative comments or complaints about my child’s Coach or Assistant Coach in the presence of my child. I understand that this may plant a negative seed in my child’s mind which could result in negative behavior towards the Coaches and may affect my child’s ability to be respectful, motivated and to enjoy their experience.
  3. I pledge to “Respect” the game. I understand the importance of setting a good example for my child. I will show respect for all involved in the game including coaches, players, opponents, opposing fans and officials. I understand that the officials make judgment calls to keep the players safe. I understand that officials may make mistakes. If I believe a “bad” call has been made against my team I will not yell or speak negatively to the official. I will respect the game and be silent.
  4. I pledge to refrain from yelling out instructions to my child or any other player. I understand that this is the coach’s job. I will limit my comments during the game to positive cheering or encouragement for my child and the other players for both teams.
  5. I understand that the objective is to win the game; however, most importantly, I understand that winners are players who make the maximum effort, learn as they progress, improve with practice and don’t let mistakes or fear of making mistakes stop them from trying. I understand that mistakes will be made and that people learn from their mistakes. I understand that each child has different abilities and that it is inappropriate to compare players to one and another, including my own child.
I understand that if I do not keep my pledge that I may be asked to remove myself from the practice, scrimmage or game at which I am offending. I also understand that if I continue to break any assortment of pledges that I may be banned from all Anoka and Ramsey Parks for the duration of 1 game that could extend to an entire season.

Any player, parent, coach, official or spectator involved in disruptive, abusive or otherwise “bad” behavior will be disciplined by the appropriate person, be it the coach, the official, the Commissioner for that particular sport, or the Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association Board of Directors if necessary.
The following are the expectations and disciplinary actions Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association will take:
  • Inappropriate or disrespectful behavior by or towards players, coaches, parents, officials or spectators will not be tolerated. Players will be considered ineligible to participate until completed forms have been turned in to the head coach and copies forwarded to the Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association Board of Directors.
  • Violations of these policies may result in the imposition of any of the following sanctions: verbal or written warnings; game(s) suspension; partial or full season suspension; suspension for a defined period of time; temporary or permanent banishment from participation in any Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association events.
  • Hearings and appeals, if any, will be handled by the Anoka Ramsey Board of Directors.
