Welcome to Anoka/Ramsey Baseball
Director - Jay Rumpca

Welcome to the Recreational Baseball Page

The recreational baseball programs provide introductory level education about baseball.  Participants learn fundamental skills and experience play in a recreational atmosphere.  Teams primarily play against other teams from the same community, but at the older ages will have the opportunity to play against teams from neighboring communities as well.

This page will be used throughout the year to communicate valuable information to you and your child about the Recreation Baseball program.  Information on schedules, team rosters, and important dates and information will all be posted here.  Please check back on a regular basis to get all the latest news.

The season consists of 12 - 16 games, plus an end of the year weekend playoffs. The regular season games are usually played 2 nights a week.  T-Ball, Coaches Pitch, 10U and 12U recreational baseball will play on Tuesday & Thursday for the 2008 season. (** Game nights may change based on field availability and the number of teams created.) 7th, 8th and 9th Graders may play any night of the week, because they will be playing neighboring community teams.

Volunteer Schedule for June 27th -29th
Here is the schedule of volunteers for this weekend’s tournament at Central Park in Ramsey.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time and check in at the Volunteer Station located just south of the concessions area.
When you have completed your time, check out at the Volunteer Station to receive your deposit check back.
I have spent 6 hours today working on the schedule.
I apologize if your request was not honored.
I had many special requests and just couldn’t honor all of them.
If you are unable to work your assigned shift, please find a replacement.
There are phone numbers supplied for that reason.
I do not have a back-up list of volunteers so please be ready to work your shift.

Thanks again for your help.
We could not do it without all the faithful parents supporting our kids!"

New Volunteer Policy for 2008
Anoka Ramsey Baseball has adopted a volunteer policy asking for your help in making this a successful season.  Each family that participates in 10U Recreational, 12U Recreational, and all Traveling Teams will be required to donate a minimum of two hours of their time.  A $50.00 check will be collected from each family by their coach prior to the season start.  This check will be returned to each family at the end of the season if the family fulfills their commitment.  Please click here for more details on how you can help.

Exciting New Change in Our Recreational Program
Please note this important change
Attention parents and players within the 13, 14 & 15 year old age group of Recreational Baseball.

As the Elk Rivers and Rogers Recreational Baseball Association have joined a new "A/Rec" level baseball league, the Anoka/Ramsey Recreational 13U-15U baseball program will join this league as well.

This will give us a new opportunity to keep a recreational program for the 15 year olds as well as the 13 and 14 year olds.  At the 13U and the 14U-15U groups, we will form teams within the Anoka Ramsey Baseball program and join the North Star Baseball League.

The North Star Baseball League is an "A/Rec" level baseball league with two divisions of play:

7th Grade (13U)
8th and 9th grade (14U-15U)

The league will consist of 16 regular season games, starting the first or second week of May and continuing through the middle of July.  Practices will start in April.  The Anoka Ramsey teams will play each other twice throughout the season as well as teams in the other communities.  Nights could vary from week to week, most likely to include Monday - Thursday nights.  Friday - Sunday’s will try to be avoided.  Game scheduling is done in an open format with other communities.  The slight registration fee increase is due to the NSBL entry fee.

The following communities are part of our division within this league:

Andover
Elk River
Coon Rapids
Rogers
