Welcome to the Traveling Baseball Tryout Information Web Page. We will be using this link to communicate to the families and players the results of our tryout process.

Rain Out Dates Will Be July 31, August 7 and September 18, 2011

TRYOUT TIMES - ANOKA HIGH SCHOOL
U9   3rd-4th Grade (5/1/02 to 4/30/03) @ 8:00am   *(9/17/11 @ 4:30pm)
U10  4th-5th Grade (5/1/01 to 4/30/02) @ 9:30am *(9/17/11 @ 6:00pm)
U11  5th-6th Grade (5/1/00 to 4/30/01) @ 11:00am *(9/17/11 @ 10:00am)
U12  6th-7th Grade (5/1/99 to 4/30/00) @ 1:00pm *(9/17/11 @ 11:30pm)
U13  7th-8th Grade (5/1/98 to 4/30/99) @ 2:30pm *(9/17/11 @ 1:30pm)
U14  8th-9th Grade (5/1/97 to 4/30/98) @ 4:00pm *(9/17/11 @ 3:00pm)
(2011-2012 9th Graders are encouraged to tryout for the U14 team even if they are considering playing with the Anoka High School 9th Grade Team)

*Players have the option to tryout per their grade level if they are playing with older players than their birthdate.

TRYOUT COST IS $30.00 PAYABLE BY CHECK OR CASH ON DAY OF TRYOUT

Parents are to check in at the bleachers next the football field on the north side of Anoka High School.
Parents will be required to stay in the bleachers or their cars and will not be allowed in the tryout fields.
The AAA and AA A/R BB Travel Teams will be selected by the middle of October 2011.
You MUST attend one of the 3 tryouts or you will not be selected on one of the teams. You will then be placed on an A/R BB House team.
No Tryouts = No Travel Team

15 and 16 year olds will not be trying out. These two age groups will use the Anoka High School games and past year’s coaches reviews for team selections.

Remember, many professional players would not have made a traveling team at these young ages. They credit their success to hard work and their passion for the game of baseball.

BASEBALL VIDEO ANALYSIS STATION - AUGUST 6, 2011 ONLY!!!

Coach Dave Hieb, of Northwestern College is a certified athletic trainer, speaker for the MN State High School Association and representative of the Twins Baseball Academy. He will have a station set up on-site at the A/R Baseball Traveling Tryouts today only from 10am-2pm. He is a very down to earth guy who will explain things in a manner we can all understand. Cost is $20 per session for HITTING OR THROWING or $30 for BOTH HITTING AND THROWING payable by check or cash on-site. You receive a personalized video of your child, with Dave’s analysis and tips, sent directly to your email address.
