As part of the risk management and player protection policies of Northern Lights Soccer Club and in accordance with the recommendations of the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA), names of any kind may not be applied to uniforms. As outlined in MYSA policies and as upheld by Northern Lights Soccer Club, we simply do not want our youth to be identifiable by predatory individuals. Furthermore, altering the uniforms whatsoever is prohibited.
FAQ - Why can we put names on warm ups but not uniforms?
Northern Lights Soccer Club supplies uniforms and as the name implies, they must remain "uniform" in nature and therefore may not be altered. Since the uniforms are supplied by the club, are mandatory to wear and are not purchased as a optional item, we feel it’s in the best interest of our membership and the responsibility of the club to uphold this policy for youth protection purposes. Optional club apparel can be purchased individually through the online club store and therefore it’s up to each individual if they choose to have a name or nick name included on the articles purchased.
