HAPPY 25th ANNIVERSARY!!

2010 marks the 25^th Anniversary of Northern Lights Soccer Club, during the year we have many festivities planned to represent and celebrate 25 years of serving the youth in our community.  To kick off the festivities, Northern Lights Soccer will be creating a new website with enhanced features that we hope to better serve our membership with.  Other activities, events and changes include:

• New Club Logo Design Contest - see articles below
• New Website - projected launch date 1/1/2010
• New Adidas Uniforms - traveling program only
• New 25th Anniversary Adidas Apparel Line
• Club Sponsored Community Service Projects - for major communities that we serve
• Summer 2010 Anniversary Party for our membership

We are also looking for a few individuals to help our 25th anniversary committee plan and execute this series of fun events.  If you would like to volunteer your time in this capacity please email our committee chairperson Kotchi Prosper at boysrep@arsports.org

When we launch our new website to celebrate our 25th anniversary, we want our membership to be a part of it.  Across the top of the website there is an opportunity to insert photos of our players to give it a more personal touch.  Northern Lights Soccer Club is looking for digital action photos of our members.

Who is eligible? - All Northern Lights recreational and traveling players ages 4 to 19.
What kind of pictures? - Please submit digital photos, higher resolution is always better but all will be acceptable.  Good photos are great goalie saves, players shooting, celebrations, headers or just simply coming up the field with the ball or challenging and opponent.
What happens with the pictures? - Northern Lights will send pictures to Demosphere (website creators).  They will select the photos that will be easiest to work with and achieve the best results.  Accepted photos will be modified and formatted to fit on the header of our website.
Isn’t it risky to display pictures of my kid(s) on the internet? - Under no circumstances will individuals be identified by name or by the team they play for, making them anonymous to the world.  This meets US Youth Soccer, Minnesota Youth Soccer, Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association and Northern Lights SC guidelines for player protection.
How will the pictures be displayed? - We have included links to similar websites that were created by the same company so you can get a better idea as to how the pictures will appear.
