Message from Chad Moore:
Do you have any players who are considering playing college soccer? If so, we welcome you to pass this information onto them. This summer we will be conducting the 2009 Girls College-Prep Soccer Clinic. The purpose of the clinic is to allow players the opportunity to train with and compete in front of some of the top Minnesota College Coaches. As of today (1/29/2009), the following coaches will serve as the staff:
Gretta Arveson - Minnesota State University Mankato
Brandon Barkus - Augustana College (SD)
Greg Cane - University of Minnesota Duluth
Neil Cassidy - Carlton College
Jeremy Driver - St. Olaf College
Kim Fair - Luther College (IA)
Ashley Grant - Northland College (WI)
Becky Heiberger - St. Cloud State University
Peter McGahey - Minnesota State University Mankato
Sheila McGill - University of St. Thomas
Sean McKuras - University of Wisconsin-River Falls
Kate McNeil - College of St. Benedict
Chad Moore - College of St. Benedict
Mike Navarre - Augsburg College
Amy Olson - Southwest Minnesota State University
Dave Reyelts - The College of St. Scholastica
Russell Schouweiler - Macalester College
Mike Stehlik - Gustavus Adolphus College
Jim Stone - Bemidji State University
Ted Zingman - Hamline University
This clinic is open to all female soccer players who will graduate high school in 2010 and 2011 (mostly U16-U17 players). All field sessions will be conducted by local college coaches. In addition to the field sessions, lecture sessions will provide participants with valuable information regarding the recruiting/application process they will experience as potential collegiate athletes.
Since you play such an important role in the development of girl’s soccer in Minnesota, we are asking you to please direct interested players to our website (www.cmsoccer.com) for more information.
Thank you for your help in getting this information to your players and don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.
Most importantly, if you have players who are interested, please let them know the importance of registering ASAP! In 2008 we had to close registration in early May. In fact we are already accepting registrations for 2009 and expect the clinic to fill early once again.
Yours in Soccer,
Girls College-Prep Soccer Clinic Staff
