Registrations will begin Online on January 1, 2012 and go through February 11, 2012 for Travel Players and March 31, 2012 for Rec. Players. 
 
Travel Evaluations will be Saturday February 18, 2012 at Legacy Christian School in Andover.  More info to follow.

CLINICS CLINICS CLINICS
 Friday Winter Skill Building Clinics
 
Dates:  Friday’s starting January 6, 13, 20, 27, February 3, 10, 17 - JUST SHOW UP!

Where:  Lord Of Life in Ramsey

Cost: $5 per player

Times:  6:00 PM - 7:30 PM for 6U, 8U & 10U,  7:30 PM - 9:30 PM for 12U, 14U & 16U

Types of activities that will be worked on during each session include but are not limited to:  Hitting (S Gym) & Fielding (N Gym) 


Sunday Hitting Clinic

Dates:  Dec 4, 11, 18, Jan 8, 15, 22, 29, Feb 5 (from 3-4pm), 12 - JUST SHOW UP!

Where:  Grand Slam in Coon Rapids

Cost: $5 per player

Times:  6pm – 7pm for 10U – 16U......beginner & advanced drills

Types of activities that will be worked on during each session include but are not limited to: Two tunnels w/ pitching machines, one tunnel w/ live pitching, one tunnel for quick swing, soft toss, tee work and other hitting drills 


Pitching Clinic

Dates:  Monday’s for 10 weeks starting Jan. 9, 16, 23, 30, February 6, 13, 20, 27, March 5 & 12

Where:  Lord Of Life in Ramsey

Cost: $165 per pitcher – must provide own catcher

Times:  5:30-6:15, 6:15-7, 7-7:45. 7:45-8:30 – 45min sessions by age

Catchers Clinic *new for AR Fastpitch*

Dates:  Monday’s for 10 weeks starting January 9, 16, 23, 30, February 6, 13, 20, 27, March 5 & 12

Cost: $150 per catcher – Levels 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U

Times:  5:30–7 PM & 7-8:30 PM - 1 ½ hrs sessions

Fastpitch Season

Rec Fastpitch Season:
6U (in house), 8U (NW Diamonds): Practice starts the begining of May.
Games start the first week of June.
End of Season Tournament last weekend (only 8U) end ofJuly.
Practice and games on Monday and Wednesday.

10U,12U: Practice begins end of April-early May (Played in Central MN)
Games begin middle of May.
Season goes until end of July.
Practices and games will likely be T/Th like last year.
State Qualifier and State Tournament if team qualifies.

14U: Practice begins first week of May (Played in Central MN)
Games begin end of May
Season goes until end of July
Game and practice Monday and Wednesday.
State Qualifier and State Tournament if team qualifies.

Travel Fastpitch Season:
10U, 12U: Practice begins as early as mid-February
Games begin the middle of May
Season ends middle of July.
Three weekend Tournaments, State Qualifier and State Tournament if teams qualifies.
Games and practice M/W for 10U and on Tue/Th for 12U  (most likely). Possible additional day of practice as determined by coach.

14U, 16U: Practice begins middle of May if player not playing on JV or Varsity HS Team.
Games begin the end of May or first week of June.
Season ends middle of July.
Three weekend Tournaments, State Qualifier and State Tournament if teams qualifies.

VOLENTEER REQUIREMENTS AND USING DIBS

 
Updated Volunteer Policy 2012
ARAA Softball is run by our volunteers .  Many hands are needed to have a successful and enjoyable softball season.  Volunteer checks will be collected from all families participating in ARAA Softball, both in-house/rec and traveling. 
 
* $250 volunteer check per child/$500 volunteer check max per family
* 6 hours per registered child/12 hours max per family
* Checks will be collected at the on-site registration dates 
* All checks must be turned in before a player can receive their uniform
            * Checks will be destroyed at the end of the season upon fulfilling the volunteer requirement
 
More information will be made available on volunteer opportunities closer to the beginning of the season.
 
2012 Volunteer opportunities available:
*Team opportunities  (limited to only 3 people per team: Coach, Asst Coach, Team Manager (snack schedule, uniform  coordinator, etc)
*Week Night Concession Stand at Central Park – specific nights/dates will be made available once finalized
*Tournaments (Dirt Devil in June & U12 Qualifier in July) – Concessions, Field Maintenance, Facilities Maintenance
