AR Fastpitch is a 100% Volunteer organization. We rely on parents to fulfill their volunteer requirements so we can field teams with the appropriate number of coaches, maintain fields, man the concession stands, and plan events. Without volunteers, we have no association!
Volunteer Policy
Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association is a community organization run entirely by volunteers and with that has set forth the following volunteer policy. Below is an outline of requirements for each of the families participating in our fast pitch program:
Hours:
1 player = 8 hours per season
2+ players = 16 hours per season
Volunteer Options:
We require a $250 volunteer bond per child with a $500 family maximum, in the form of an electronic draft of $1.00 (this is non-refundable) through registration. If your volunteer hours (8 hours per child, 16 hours family maximum) have not been completed by October 1st the remaining $249.00 or $499.00 will be automatically withdrawn in October.
With registration, you also have a ONE-TIME option to "buy out" of the volunteer requirement for $250 or $500 (if more than one child). If you choose this option, this will be added to your registration fees at checkout. You will NOT have this option once registration is complete.
Positions that qualify for volunteer requirement per team are the following:
1. Head coach (one per team )
2. Assistant coach (up to two additional positions per team)
Volunteer hours must be filled from posted opportunities found through the ARAA website under the “Dibs” section.
* ARAA policy - states that anyone that does not fulfill their hour requirements and does not honor their volunteer bond will be charged a $40 fee along with being put on credit hold until all funds received.
