Welcome to Anoka Ramsey Tornado Tennis
Director: Patty Egart

The goal of ARAA Tennis is to promote the game of tennis with the hope that it will become a sport that our youth will enjoy as children, in high school, in college and for a lifetime. The program began in 1999 and offers opportunities for youth, ages 3 to 18. The programs are designed around the USTA programs QuickStart Tennis and USTA Junior Team Tennis.  ARAA offers instructional in-house programs for ages 5-14 in the spring and fall and instructional in-house and traveling programs for ages 3-18 in the summer.

ARAA SUMMER 2011 PROGRAM COSTS

Please sign your child up for the appropriate age group.  You may choose the number of sessions you would like to attend.  12 sessions equate to two sessions a week;  18 sessions equates to three sessions a week and Full Play equates to 4 sessions a week (more if they choose to attend evening sessions as well).

Your child will receive a punch card with the number of sessions you purchased.   This offers a good deal of flexibility.  If you are out of town one week, they may attend extra sessions in the previous or upcoming weeks so they don’t miss any sessions you purchased.

Parents - We NEED Your Help

Members of the Anoka High School Boy’s and Girl’s teams will be on court coaching but we also need your help!  We need you to help feed balls, to keep the ball hoppers filled, keep score if needed and participate in some games and drills.  Wear your tennis shoes and bring a racquet if you have one.  Please do not bring small children on court with you.  We have had some close calls with little ones almost getting hit by a ball.

Weather

Please dress your child appropriately if it is chilly. In case of rain, lightning or if the weather is below 45 degrees, tennis will be canceled. Use your best judgment. Please pick-up your child or make arrangements to have your child picked up if it starts raining or lightning during a session.

ARAA Refund Policy

All requests for refunds must be made in writing and directed to that particular sport’s Commissioner. All refunds will be assessed a $15.00 processing fee. A full refund will be given, minus the processing fee, until April 1st. From April 2nd thru April 15th, refunds will be given minus any and all expenses incurred to that point including, but not limited to, uniform fee, team registration fees and player registration fees. No refunds will be given after April 15th with the exception of injuries that require the child to withdraw from the sport for the remainder of the season and which occur within the first four (4) weeks of the season. Refunds for injuries occurring after this date will not be allowed. In order to be entitled to a refund for injuries, the injuries must be reported to the Sports Commissioner in writing, indicating the extent of your child’s injury, and that your child will not be able to participate in that sport for the remainder of the season. Contacting your child’s coach will not be accepted as suitable notification.
