Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association Launches First Annual Community Food Drive

ARAA Aims to Provide for 1,000 Families, Matching Donations Up to $10,000Anoka, MN — November 7, 2025

The Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association (ARAA) is calling on the community to rally together for its First Annual Food Drive, an event to lift up local families during the holiday season.

The two-day event will be held at The Armory in Anoka with food and monetary drop-off on Friday, November 21 (4:00–8:00 p.m.) and a community pop-up pantry on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

Open to all ARAA families, residents, and businesses, the goal is to collect enough food, personal items, and contributions to serve 1,000 families in the Anoka Ramsey area.

“Everyone in our community is part of our team,” said Dustin Reeder, ARAA President. “Whether on the field, in the gym, or in the community, teamwork extends far beyond sports. This food drive is one more way our ARAA family shows up for each other.”

ARAA will match monetary donations up to $10,000 and is seeking corporate partners to help reach a shared goal of $100,000 in food and funds.

Step up, Anoka County.
Your business can double, or even triple, the impact of every dollar given. Together, we can put $100,000 worth of food on the tables of 1,000 families in need.  Be part of something bigger than business, be part of a movement that feeds hope.

Traditionally, ARAA hosts a fall sponsorship dinner to support youth athletics, but this year’s dinner will shift to spring 2026 as the association focuses its holiday efforts on the food drive.

“Everyone deserves a meal on the table, just like every kid deserves a chance to compete,” Reeder said.

All remaining food and funds will be donated to the ACBC Food Shelf in Anoka, ensuring ongoing support for local families through the winter months.
