Registration is now open for Spring/Summer Recreational soccer.
Recreational soccer provides an opportunity for kids to be involved in an organized soccer
program in a non-competitive environment. Northern Lights Soccer Club offers recreational
soccer for youth ages Pre-K though High School and no experience is necessary. The
recreational program is a non-competitive developmental soccer league. This means we are a
NO score, NO standings league. All players will play about the same amount of time in each
game as well as have the opportunity to play at each position.
New this year, we are offering an Advanced Rec Program option to kids in Kindergarten through
Grade 3. These players will receive professional soccer training sessions from paid trainers in
our club. 
The Advanced program is open to players of all ability levels and gives those thinking about the

RAMSEY SUMMER SOCCER CAMP
This year’s summer camp will be offered by the renowned Coerver Coaching and is open to
players 8 to 18.

When: July 9-13, 9:30 a.m. to Noon
Location: Elmcrest Park, 16303 Quicksilver St. NW, Ramsey
World’s No. 1 Soccer Skills teaching method.

The camp focuses on teaching the individual skills indispensable for success in soccer. Proper
fundamental skills are taught as well as advanced skills that make playing fun and encourage
players to practice on their own. Emphasis is placed on individual skill development and basic
moves with the goal of developing confidence on the ball. Beginning “move sets” are taught and
games are played to practice the moves in a method that starts with no pressure and slowly
adds the pressure of time and/or space restrictions. Passive defensive pressure is then added
and by the end of the first morning, players are performing moves under full defensive pressure
to goal. First touch is a major theme in Ball Mastery sessions. All groups play in our “World Cup”
competition with teams they stay with throughout the week. This is a round robin competition
of small-sided games. Results are recorded each day and a finals competition is held on Friday.
Group champions are recognized at our award ceremony on Friday.
