4th Annual Sponsorship Dinner with Guest Speaker Tony Oliva

The ARAA Sponsorship Dinner will be held on Friday, November 12 and it raises money for our registration discount and bereavement programs.  We believe all youth in our Anoka and Ramsey communities should be able to play sports, regardless of their family’s ability to cover registration.  This program helps provide the funds to discount registration for those who need that.

Also, a few years ago, ARAA started a bereavement program.  This program provides free sports for any child who loses a parent or guardian for the duration of the time they play sports with ARAA.  We provide one year of free sports for any child who loses a sibling to ensure they have an outlet through sports.

Each ticket purchased provides opportunities for more youth to learn the critical life lessons in teamwork, hard work, discipline, sportsmanship, success, persistence, and even failure through playing in youth sports.

Thank you for joining us for this important and exciting event!  Purchase your tickets today - space is limited.

Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation formed in 1979 to provide the youth of Anoka, Ramsey, and surrounding areas with guidance, equipment, and fields in order to participate in sports.

ARAA is an all-volunteer organization which cannot exist without the continuing efforts of committed parents, coaches, directors, commissioners, and board members. We believe this spirit of volunteerism and participation is essential to community health.

ARAA offers programs in Baseball, Basketball, Football, Lacrosse, Outdoors, Softball, Volleyball,  Wrestling and Soccer (Northern Lights Soccer Club). In 2012 our programs involved over 3,800 children and adults in the pursuit of athletic recreation, competition, and excellence. It is our hope that ARAA provides an opportunity for character development in all of its participants and promotes community well-being through its efforts.

ARAA Board & Individual Sport Committee Meetings:

Please visit each sport page for information regarding times, dates and locations for the meetings you would like to attend. These meetings are open to the public and we encourage you to attend, get involved and make a difference for your children and our community.

Concussion Protocol

ARAA takes the safety of our players very seriously. This is the protocol which is mandatory under the State of Minnesota. The MN Concussion law mandates that: • All coaches (head and assistants) and officials receive concussion training and education by September 1, 2011, and then at three-year intervals thereafter. • Coaches must remove an athlete from activity if they exhibit signs, symptoms or behaviors consistent with a concussion and/or are suspected of sustaining a concussion. • The law also requires a doctor's signature to return to play if an athlete is removed due to a concussion or is showing signs or symptoms of a concussion. • Click the "Concussion Protocol" button above for more information.

We understand that whether we like it or not, incidents, disagreements, and accidents happen in relation to youth sports. ARAA always recommends trying resolve issues with your child's coach or with the leaders of the sport first, but if you need another path for assistance please complete an Incident Report. We promise to protect your anonymity and your child in every possible way.
