    COVID RETURN TO PLAY GUIDELINES

Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association is committed to a safe return to play for all of our athletes.  Any general questions can be directed to the ARAA Soccer Covid Administrator, doo@northernlightssoccer.org or  ARAA Covid Administrator, Jen Niska-vp@arsports.org.

    ARAA Policy - Effective September 26, 2021

    Athlete Positive Test

    • Isolate for 10 days from onset of symptoms or positive COVID-19 test (whichever comes first.
    • To Return to Play, the athlete must feel better, be symptom free, and off of fever-reducing medicine.
    • Return to Play is actually "Day 12" because "Day 0 is the onset of symptoms of the positive test" and an athlete may return AFTER Day 10.

Athlete Exposure: 7, 10, or 14 day quarantine options

    • If an athlete is fully vaccinated (2 weeks past the last dose) and completely symptom free, the athlete does not need to quarantine.  Vaccination card will need to be shown to the sport Covid Administrator if parents/guardians choose this option.
    • Negative COVID-19 test: 7 Day Quarantine Option
      • You get tested for COVID-19 at least five full days after you had close contact with someone with COVID-19, and the test is negative
        • You must get a negative PCR test, not an antigen test or antibody/blood test.
      • You have not had any symptoms
      • You have not had a positive test for COVID-19
      • No one in your home has COVID-19
      • Even after 7 days, watch your symptoms through day 14.  If you have any symptoms, stay home, separate yourself from others, and get tested, even though you tested negative earlier.
    • No COVID-19 test: 10 Day Quarantine Option
      • You have not had symptoms
      • You have not had a positive test
      • No one in your home has COVID-19
      • Even after 10 days, watch for symptoms through day 14.  If you have symptoms, stay home, separate yourself from others, and get teste right away, even if you tested negative earlier.
    • No COVID-19 test - Symptomatic or Living with someone who tests positive
      • If someone in your home has COVID-19, your day 0 of a 14 day quarantine begins the last day of exposure with that individual
